Achnagairn Castle Wedding
Laughter and pastels at Scottish Achnagairn Castle Wedding.
Amy & Matt first got in touch in November 2023. Up until that point, I’d never heard of Achnagairn Castle before, so a quick Google search followed. Well my goodness! I was instantly blown away by how beautiful the estate was, and the impressiveness of Achnagairn Castle’s many gorgeous spaces.
Achnagairn Castle is such a unique venue, and it was the perfect backdrop for Amy and Matt’s summer wedding. The morning was so relaxed for everyone, but as guests began to arrive, the excitement began to build! The amazing Rona Burstow welcomed everyone into the stunning vaulted ballroom, and soon had everyone enjoying themselves and cheering on the happy couple. Amy and Matt were so full of smiles during their ceremony, it was a complete joy to witness.
Before we knew it we were out into the gardens for a confetti throw and a big group shot (huge thanks to Michael Westcott for the drone image!). The terrace and tiered lawns of Achnagairn were the perfect place for Amy & Matt’s guests to relax and enjoy the September sunshine, and Amy & Matt even managed a pretty awesome champagne pop! Then it was back into the vaulted ballroom for speeches, dinner (which was so delicious from the talented The Lunchbox Boys) and a big party (which included another confetti throw on the dancefloor). I thought Amanda Call‘s pastel table florals were so elegant and warm, and they were a stunning match to the ballroom’s dark wood textures.
I loved every moment of this breathtaking wedding day, so thanks again to the lovely couple for having me along. Josh was my associate photographer on this one too. Here’s a few of our favourite moments…
